Slower Cooker Balsamic Baby Back Ribs

  • 2  lbs. baby back ribs, membranes removed
  • ½  sweet onion, chopped
  • 12oz. jar sugar-free apricot preserves
  • 1/3 cup bottled barbecue sauce
  • ¼  cup balsamic vinegar
  • ½  tsp. garlic powder 


  1. Coat the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray. Cut ribs into four piece segments and place in slow cooker with onions.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together remaining ingredients. Spoon sauce over ribs and cook on low until tender, 6–7 hours.
  3. Remove ribs from slow cooker and place on prepared baking sheet. Place in oven to broil on low, 3–4 minutes. Transfer to platter and serve immediately.


Note: Pork ribs are safe to eat at an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, but we recommend cooking until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F for the best eating experience.
