Ingredients
Before we get cooking, here’s everything you need. Check items off as you go — at home or in the store.
Directions
- Preheat grill or flat top to 400-450°F.
- Place sausages, onions, and peppers on hot grill and close lid. Grill for 5 minutes.
- Flip everything and close lid for an additional 3 minutes. If everything is well charred and sausages have reached a minimal internal temperature of 160°F, remove from grill. If not, continue to cook for 2-3 more minutes.
- Roughly chop onions and peppers, discarding the onion core. Halve sausages lengthwise.
- Toast sub rolls if desired. Place each sausage in a roll and top with grilled peppers and onions. Finish with spicy mustard if desired.
